Hey! I’m Gabriel Pontones, “Rasta” to friends and family (ask me why), a filmmaker and photographer specializing in adventure, sports, travel, and lifestyle. My passion for the outdoors makes me one of the few athlete-filmmakers ready to shoot in any and all conditions! From the summits to the depths and all the grit and dirt in between working and collaborating with awesome brands like Vans, GoPro, Subaru, Westin Hotels, Michelob Ultra and more! My work and passion have taken me to five continents and more than 50 countries.
I studied film at NYU, with additional courses at the School of Visual Arts and UCLA, directing with Judith Weston, and acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory. This and over 20 years in advertising, film and TV production, plus more years that I can remember competing in all sorts of adventure sports has taught me the language of sports and adventure, and I know how to get the best shot... and keep up with the talent!
